Barnum Bey, "Barney"
23 year old, 14.2 hand chestnut Arabian gelding
Barney is everyone's favorite! He is so full of life, but obedient and willing to listen to his rider. When he trots, you know it... he is great for learning to post the trot. He has been used by children and teenagers for shows, jumping, games, and trail riding, but his former riders went off to college, and Barney seems happy to be here at Spencer Valley! He is quiet enough for brand new riders on the lunge line, obedient enough for children learning to ride independently, and has enough spirit for experienced riders to practice more advanced manuevers.
Eagle’s El Sahib “Buster”
26 year old, 12.2 hand, bay Arabian gelding
Buster is the old guy around here, but don’t count him out yet!
He was a barrel racer in Colorado for most of his life, but he
is the best and sweetest horse to teach a child to ride. Buster
has Cushing's Syndrome, a chronic illness that, in his case, makes it difficult to gain weight. With medicine and loving care, Buster is still a great beginner horse for small children. He also still barrel races! Adrienne and he won an award in four out of five classes at the New York State Fair in Syracuse last summer.

Latte is what they call a “babysitter” horse-- she takes care
of her rider. Latte goes quietly around the arena-- but she loves to
canter too! She is unregistered, so we don’t know her exact age,
but she is very sound and will be around
a long time. She also loves trail riding, and is great over trail
obstacles. She is a great horse to start out on.

Copper Top "Copper"
6 year old 14.3 hand chestnut hunter gelding
Copper is turning out to be a very good lesson horse and jumper. He is a very wonderful sweet horse to ride and he does a beautiful ‘rocking chair’ canter! He is quiet and happy
on the trails, too. Copper is Nikki's favorite horse and she has worked hard with him this year-- good job, Nikki!
Operatin’ Jazz “Jazz”
8 year old, 15.2 hand black Tennessee Walking Horse gelding
Jazz was a fancy show horse in
and although we have used him mostly for trail riding, he returned to the ring in August 2008. He loves the show ring, and Adrienne started showing him in May 2009, and rode him at the New York State Fair in August 2009. Jazz’s big buddy is Storm, and Jazz likes to be right behind him. He is not used for lessons, and would be available for lease only to an experienced TWH rider.

Delight’s Gold Shaker “Penny”
14 year old, 15.3 hand, bay Tennessee Walking Horse mare
Penny’s got GO! Penny loves to go on the trails and in the ring. Penny does a flat walk, a running walk, a rack and
a fast canter. She is tall and elegant, and holds her head
high. She is great at gymkhana games like barrel racing,
pole bending and the keyhole race. She also did a trail trial
and did very well. She is not a lesson horse, but she
is available for leasing by an experienced rider.

Once Upon a Stormy Night “Storm”
20 year old, 16.2 hand black Tennessee Walking Horse Gelding
Storm is Tim’s dream horse—we found him on Dreamhorse.com
years ago, and he taught us what a great horse can be. Storm is always polite and always the gentleman to people and horses. But don’t ride Storm unless you like to be out in front—not many others can keep up with him. Storm is not used for lessons because he is Tim's personal riding horse, but he is used for demonstrations and grooming.
