WELCOME!
Spencer Valley Farm is here for people who love horses and
want to learn to ride. Children, adults, singles, families...
everyone is welcome.
Anyone can learn to ride-- I have taught students from age
four through age 86 that have completed the beginner
package and became competent trail riders.
PLEASE NOTE!
We do NOT offer dude ranch-style trail rides in which a group of people with very little experience or instruction are mounted on horses they do not know and walk along a trail. Our horses are gentle and well-trained, but everyone should be taught to ride
safely and practice with an instructor before riding outside the arena. Learning to maintain your balance and gain your
horse's cooperation is the fun part of riding, and it is truly
worth the effort!

WHO WE ARE
Spencer Valley Farm is a small facility designed for beginners.
Our goal is for each student to be able to handle a horse independently-- which means safely. Come on over and meet
the horses, see our stable, and watch a lesson. Once you are sure you want to learn to ride, we will ask you to make a commitment to learn the basics.

walk, trot, stop, turn, and dismount. When you complete
your beginner package, you should be able to handle a
horse independently. $300 pays for eight lessons, an
